Concert Schedule
CELEBRATING 150 YEARS THROUGH MUSIC
Bellport UMC has long enjoyed and benefited from its strong music ministry including our talented 20-member choir and bell choir. In addition, we are grateful for the enthusiasm and dedication of our recently retired choral director, Mr. Mark Barton. He has graciously shared his love of classical music with us, by coordinating periodic Sunday Afternoon Concerts at the church. Performances have featured nationally and internationally recognized vocal and instrumental artists as well as talented merging musicians, i.e. Leslie McBride, Soprano; the North Shore Chamber Choir; Luna Duo-Helen Liu, Violin/Lee-Wen Chang, Viola; Shouvik Mondle, Baritone and most recently, the “Young Musicians Showcase” sponsored by NYC-based chamber ensemble “Chamberosity”.
With such a strong music tradition, it is not surprising that, in this our 150th Anniversary year, Bellport United Methodist Church has chosen to weave those wonderful concerts into an ongoing monthly series, “Grace Notes”. Since January 2009, a wide range of musical talent has graced our Fellowship Hall and an equally exciting schedule is planned for this year. We hope you will join us!
